Educational Service Programs
In today's constantly changing world, education is needed more now than ever. While we have great school systems with great teachers and opportunities for growth, the demands set forth on teachers and students can hinder that growth opportunity. Consequently, Music to My Mind will fund both students and teachers in outside educational and music opportunities to help them further their training and professional development.
Continuing Education Opportunities for Teachers
Professional development and continuing education are vital to the continued growth and success of every teacher. However, those opportunities to further their educational knowledge is hindered because local School Board budgetary constraints and the training site locations make attending difficult. Our goal is to help provide funding to assist that teacher in attending training opportunities.
The program is open to teachers training in academic, art and athletics from preschool to college. Teachers requiring funding will be selected from school districts of all socio-economic backgrounds and through the assistance of that school's administration. The ultimate goal is to be able to fund or partially fund the selected teachers to be able to attend the needed training within their field.

Supplemental Educational Opportunities for Students
As school developments has progressed, the increased importance of outside seminars and camps have become apparent in the education of young people today. Due to standardized testing and budgetary constraints many school districts find it difficult for students to delve into these newly acquired interests because the teachers or professors have to move at a very rapid pace in order to meet the requirements
of their curriculum. In depth examination or other, non-proscribed areas of interest are sometimes cut in order to meet state requirements. As a consequence during the summer and extended school breaks, various companies and educational groups will provide camps and learning sessions that are particular to specific areas. We want to help students continue to explore and develop their exposure to these areas of interest. Working with school administrators and teachers we want to help fund or partially fund the costs for a student to go to a camp, lecture or seminar. We don't want a student who might one day cure cancer to be denied the chance to go to a science camp on cancer research because funding is an issue. We want to help make their dream a reality.
